Think Like a Historian Chapter 1

History is not just something that happens in another place. It happens in your life every day. In your home, you are surrounded with artifacts and evidence of your family’s, and maybe even Kentucky’s history.

Try to find old photograph, letters, or other things in your closets or basement. Locate one artifact that tell something about your family’s history. When you locate an artifact, ask a parent or grandparent how your family got it. Tuesday 9-2-14 bring in the item or a picture of the item to present in class.

                                                                                   Thanks,

                                                                                    Mrs. R. Gross
